3 Grants to Apply For in May to Fund Your Fashion Business

1. The LISC grant sponsored by Verizon is a program that offers grants of up to $10,000 to small businesses owned by women, people of color, and other historically underrepresented group. This grant opportunity is exclusive to users of the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready program, in partnership with LISC. Each grant award will total $10,000 and grant finalists will be notified by LISC the week of May 18, 2023. Applications open on March 1, 2023 and close on May 12, 2023

2. The Amber Grant is a monthly $10,000 grant program designed to support women entrepreneurs in the United States. The grant is administered by WomensNet, and applicants must complete an online application form and pay a $15 application fee. The grant can be used to start or grow a business, and two of the monthly grant recipients is selected to receive an additional $25,000 grant at the end of the year.

3.  Progressive® Driving Small Business Forward Fund. Hello Alice is excited to work with Progressive to give Black small business owners an opportunity to drive their businesses forward. Progressive would like to support these business owners with funds to take their business to the next level. The Driving Small Business Forward fund will provide $25,000 to 10 small businesses towards the purchase of a commercial vehicle to accelerate their business. To be eligible, a business must be majority (51%+) owned and operated by a Black-identifying entrepreneur(s), have a demonstrated need for a commercial vehicle, commitment to local community and a clear plan to keep their business moving forward.  Applications are open now through June 2, 2023.
